Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Process Manager to oversee and refine our thin film processing workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with thin films, determining optimal temperatures and pressures, and performing chemical processing. Hands-on experience with material examination and or practical skills from trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or other relevant fields is highly valued. This role is critical in maintaining Nielson Scientific’s reputation for excellence in advanced scientific instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize thin film processing techniques to achieve consistent, high-quality results.
- Determine the correct temperatures, pressures, and chemical treatments for thin film applications.
- Maintain rigorous quality control standards to uphold product excellence.
- Conduct hands-on material examinations and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to refine processing techniques.
- Analyze production data and implement improvements to enhance precision and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Train and support team members in best practices for material handling and process optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in process management, particularly in thin film fabrication or material sciences.
- Hands-on experience with chemical processing, vacuum systems, or thermal treatment techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and process optimization techniques.
- Practical experience from trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or similar hands-on fields.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in optics, terahertz technology, or precision scientific instrumentation manufacturing.
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and high-precision fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of advanced coating technologies and thin film metrology.
